This matrix type is also a multiple-input, multiple-output configuration, but unlike the standard MIMO, only a single connection can be made at any time.  In a MIMO Single Connection Matrix, you can have Input 1 connected to Output 3. Still, you must disconnect this path if you were to connect Input 2 to Output 1, or any other combination.​
